This award celebrates the successful implementation of outstanding cultural inclusion strategies, policies, and practices by an organisation operating in Ireland. Cultural inclusion within the organisation will go beyond compliance, actively promoting understanding, respect, and opportunity for individuals of all cultural backgrounds. The winning organisation will have a proven track record of creating an environment where cultural diversity is embraced and intercultural belonging is embedded into the company culture, leading to measurable positive outcomes for employees. Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core cultural inclusion objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.
- Organisational Commitment to Cultural Inclusion: Demonstrate how cultural inclusion is embedded in your organisation’s mission, values, and daily operations, highlighting key milestones and leadership support.
- Inclusive Recruitment and Progression: Outline recruitment, onboarding, and career development strategies that ensure equitable representation and support for culturally diverse individuals.
- Innovative Cultural Initiatives: Showcase standout initiatives such as intercultural training, heritage celebrations, multilingual communication, or faith-based accommodations that go beyond compliance.
- Employee Engagement and Belonging: Provide examples of how your organisation fosters a sense of belonging, including employee resource groups, storytelling platforms, or inclusive internal communications.
- Monitoring and Accountability: Explain how you measure cultural inclusion outcomes through data, feedback mechanisms, or audits, and how these inform continuous improvement.
- Impact on Workforce and Culture: Share measurable improvements in employee outcomes like satisfaction, retention, or engagement, especially among culturally diverse groups.
- Success Stories and Testimonials: Include real stories or quotes from employees that illustrate the lived impact of your cultural inclusion efforts.
